John Worthington & Associates specialise in Pre-purchase Property Inspections, Pest Reports,  Property Maintenance, Progress Inspections, Fire Services, Project Management, Mediation, Arbitration, Building Disputes/Expert Witness.

John has held senior management positions in the building industry, prior to his formation of Worthington Constructions in 1976.

He has been responsible for projects of a commercial, residential and mainly industrial nature. Apart from this he has constructed many tennis courts both in Australia and overseas.

John is well qualified, having studied building at University of NSW, Institute of Technology, Sydney Technical College and Granville Technical College. In 1998 John was awarded a Masters of Dispute Resolution from the Faculty of Law and in the same year passed Advance Arbitration through the University of Adelaide.

John is currently carrying out research for a Masters Degree in Building. He also holds the Pest Control Certificate from TAFE.

The parent company changed its name to John Worthington and Associates in 1987 and ceased active building to commence consulting in the building industry.

He is a member of the Master Builders Association and an Accredited Consultant with the Master Builders Consultant Council.

In 2007 John was elected as Chairman of the Master Builders Consulting Council.

John is a foundation Fellow & Past Chairman of the Australian Society of Building Consultants - NSW Division and an Associate Member of the Australian Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators.

John is also an Associate Member of the Australian Institute of Environmental Health and a member of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors and in 1990 was appointed as chairman of Qualifications Board for Health Surveyors - NSW.

John currently serves as a Member of the House Building Advisory Council to the Minister for Fair Trading NSW.

John has written many articles in newspapers and magazines and was a regular on the highly rated ABC television series The Home Show.
